Education Webinar: Optimise your Cyber Security Strategy

Webinar: 11AM BST I 27th April 2023

About this Webinar

In 2022, 70% of Secondary Schools and 88% of Further Education Colleges identified data breaches or cyber-attacks compared to 39% of UK Businesses.

This statistic brings to light the importance of Educational Establishments, including Schools, having a robust and multi-layered cyber security strategy. Due to the fact Schools hold sensitive information, they become a high-value target for Cyber criminals. Unfortunately, many Schools lack the infrastructure and resources to adequately protected themselves.

When it comes to IT and cyber security in Education it’s ultimately about reducing risk. At Sharp, we believe risk can be reduced by putting measures in place. Preventative protection is about providing the right training to equip pupils and staff in spotting cyber security threats. Educational establishments need to invest in training when it comes to topics like phishing, ransomware, staying safe online, and passwords.

In addition, many schools are also unable to attain cyber insurance and may lose acsess to grants without being Cyber Essentials accredited.

In this Webinar, Sharp and Dukefield will be sharing valuable information and insights from a panel of experts. They'll explore:

  • Cyber Security threats & challenges for Education
  • Cyber Essentials & what it means for Education
  • IT Recruitment, Outsourcing & Procurement
