The World Is Constantly Changing, Are Your Team Members Keeping Up?

Over the last 12 months we have seen significant changes in the environment our clients are operating in. Sharp specialises in providing solutions tailored for small and medium-sized organisations, as well as the education sector. These sectors often lack the necessary resources to effectively adapt to evolving changes.

In this blog, Matt Riley, Director of Transformation and Security explores the importance of continuous learning and development of team members in an organisation, which organisations are most at risk, and the changes we’ve seen in the last 12 months.

Large organisations have the resources and knowledge to keep up to date with changing landscape however, small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) and education sector organisations are often not as well equipped to respond to changes – the biggest change being the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with very little knowledge about the dangers it poses.

Social engineering is an industry itself with huge financial rewards for those threat actors who are successful. Team members are the last line of defence for organisations, that’s why it is more important than ever to ensure they are well equipped to protect them. With the increase and development of AI, the barriers to enter an organisation have lowered, and we can expect a continued rise in the number of attacks.

To help our clients protect themselves, Sharp offers a wide range of cyber security services including user awareness training. Security Awareness as a Service provides our clients with a fully managed training platform which provides the traditional online training material alongside regular phishing simulations to help build up their knowledge and put this knowledge into practice.

We proactively manage the training material and each year will update it to address the latest threats we are seeing across all of our clients. We have just released our latest training material to our clients which includes modules on:

  • The dangers of generative AI to organisations and how their team member can use the wide range of solutions safely
  • Ransomware and why it is such a threat to organisations
  • Working from home and how team members can protect themselves and their organisation
  • Staying safe while using social media
  • Ways to ensure passwords are as strong as possible
