Sharp UK secures Crescent Purchasing Consortium framework place

London, 27-07-2021
Sharp UK has been awarded a position as a supplier on the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) framework for Multifunctional Devices and Digital Transformation Solutions. The CPC framework is a dedicated resource for education and public sector institutions to find print and digital technology suppliers, providing compliance with UK Public Contracts Regulations through approved companies, ensuring value for money and saving time for purchasers.

The new CPC framework has recently expanded to include a wide range of digital transformation services, such as IT services and hardware, audio visual solutions, electronic document management, telecoms and cloud services which Sharp is now able to supply via the framework to its members and the wider UK public sector.

Sharp has been involved with the CPC framework since 2017, when it was first awarded a place as an MFD and print consultancy supplier. The company will now be able to offer a wider range of services to public sector customers through the newly expanded framework – including AV technology, IT services, telephony, and a greater variety of print services.

Sharp’s place on the expanded CPC framework was awarded after the company retendered for the services it could provide beyond MFD and print consultancy. Prior to this, Sharp had played a key role, along with other suppliers, in identifying where the framework could be enhanced to support customer needs.

Jon Chamberlain, CEO at Dukefield Group, which contract manages the CPC framework, said: “We have been working closely with CPC’s members, customers and suppliers to better understand where the framework could be extended and improved. Through the sound advice of knowledgeable suppliers, like Sharp, we are satisfied that our expanded proposition will prove a one-stop shop for print and digital business technology solutions in the public sector.”

David Harrison, Director of Public Sector Sales at Sharp, said: “We are delighted to be working with the CPC on this new chapter for the framework. The new digital transformation services offered through the framework will enable Sharp to reach public sector customers with a comprehensive suite of solutions for their needs.”

“At Sharp, we aim to take a consultative approach and put customer needs at the heart of our offering. We believe that the new CPC framework will help us in our mission to make technology easy for all our customers.”
