Decided on the LC46XL2E due to the 100Hz. Was a bit worried though as I had never actually seen one on display. I have been absolutely blown away with this TV. The SD picture is absolutely fantastic even at 6 feet. The HD picture is unbelievably good. Sports are fantastic on this TV, even in SD. Football is a joy to watch, no blurring or smearing. I have never seen this on an LCD before. The 100hz definitely works well. Blows the Samsung away. The TV and Remote Control have a real quality feel and look and size wise the TV is not much bigger than the LC42XD1EA. However be warned the TV display is huge compared to a 42 inch. That said because the picture quality is so good you can get away with it. All in all I have to say I am delighted with my purchase.
