Since our founding in 1912, Sharp Corporation has continuously opened up new areas of industry with its original products, from the "Ever-Sharp" mechanical pencils from which the company name was derived, to the commercialisation of the first Japanese-made radios and televisions, the world's first LCD electronic calculators, and a host of other products incorporating our state-of-the-art LCD technology. These products have contributed to the improvement of human living and the advancement of society as a whole.

Unsanctioned Offers of Employment

It has come to our attention that offers for work at Sharp UK are being made to individuals based outside the UK (particularly in India). Please be advised that these offers are fraudulent and are made by persons not connected with Sharp UK in any way. You are strongly advised not to enter into any negotiations for a job at Sharp UK with anyone outside the UK, as Sharp UK does not recruit personnel from overseas. In all but exceptional circumstances, the recruitment process for a job at Sharp UK takes place entirely in the UK and involves an interview at our head office in Stockley Park, near London.

If you live outside the UK and have been offered a job at Sharp UK, we advise you to treat it as fraudulent and not take any action in reliance upon such offer. Neither Sharp UK, nor any member of the Sharp group of companies, will accept any liability for losses incurred by individuals who have been approached about a job at Sharp UK or made offers of jobs at Sharp UK. If you are a recruitment agency, search firm or consultancy looking to partner with Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd please be advised that we operate a tightly controlled preferred supplier list (PSL) for all permanent and temporary recruitment, across all functions within the UK.

Please be aware that we do not accept non PSL agency CVs. Please do not forward candidate details via our job site, or forward them to Sharp employees. Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd will not pay any fees related to candidates that have been introduced by non PSL suppliers.

As we have only recently been out to tender for our current PSL, we have no plans to review the supplier list at this time. When we are in a position to review the PSL contact details and further guidance will be made available on this site.
