Rated 5/5 - This TV looks great
This TV looks great even when it's switched off. Some of the other TV's I looked at were boxy or had huge speakers stuck on the sides. The speakers on this are very subtle. General TV viewing pictures are quite good but will improve when broadcasters improve the quality or switch to HD. This TV REALLY stands out when watching HD films at 1080p. Deep, rich, beautiful colours and pin sharp pictures. If you have a HD DVD player this is the screen you want and it's worth every penny. Get one now!

Rated 4/5 - Great picture
Great picture and does what it says on the tin. Love the full def & 100Hz, but I have docked 1 mark for a truly appalling DTV menu and EPG. Given the ultra high res & large screen there is no excuse for such a poor implementation. (i.e jagged font, terrible use of screen space - my old set top box was 1000% better)

Rated 5/5 - picture quality will leave you breathless
Only had this set a few days but WOW, what a performer with regards to Picture -Quality that is. I have a Blu Ray HD-DVD Player connected and the quality at 1080p is mind blowing, has to be seen to be believed. The interface is a bit clunky and the screen graphics in the electronic program guide (EPG) are awful, reminiscent of PC graphics 10 years ago, this really lets the set down when using this function. Plus you can not move down the programs in the EPG without changing to that channel, which when you compare this to other models they do allow you to see what’s on in the EPG whilst still watching the program you were viewing. And last but not least on this, I can not find a way of restricting the EPG to display “now and next” only or the full program guide etc. I have tried updating the firmware but this has not seemed to work as described in the manual and it has not seemed to update. This EPG lets down what is an excellent TV.
Sound, well this is OK but I tend to output most DVD audio through an amplifier. I do have some issues in this area as when I set the DVD player to output audio in Bitstream mode, which is supported by the amp (as opposed to PCM) the TV says it does not support HDMI Audio and as such I have to set the audio to PCM. This may be my lack of understanding of HDMI but I would have thought such a great package would have supported Bitstream Audio which is far superior to PCM. Anyway, whilst there are a couple of criticism mentioned above do not let these distract you from what is without doubt one of the best TV Video experiences available. The picture quality is second to none and will leave you breathless.

Rated 5/5 - Fully recommend this TV
I purchased this TV after I was very disappointed with another Manufactures so called similar TV. This TV may be a bit more expensive than other brands, but it is worth it in every way! My final choice after visiting and viewing hundreds of LCD and Plasma sets in different shops was between this one and a Sony. What may look good on display in one shop will not look the same in another shop! It’s worth going around. As most people today are still be watching analog or free to air Digital TV via Free View this set will display them fantastically. If you have a Sky or Satellite link then you will be even more pleased! Connection to a PC is wonderful and for displaying pictures from a digital camera, it is out of this World and my camera is only a 4 Mega pixel, I think the TV can display 6.2 million pixels!! One of the best features of this TV is how quick it can process the pictures you are watching. The other manufactures set went back for that problem and horrible dark colour shading. Initial setup was a little tricky as it only found analog TV Channels (They almost look as good as DTV) but a quick read soon tells you to do the same for Digital channels. Further reading is always worth the time as you find that you can get so much more out of this TV. On first install and for the first couple of hours the TV seemed to get even better on it’s own? I don’t know if this was down to it stabilizing in its new surrounds after being transport 100-200 miles or just the extra reading? Finally, I can honestly fully recommend this TV for anyone who is looking for a long term investment. The technology and picture resolution is already 5 years ahead of broadcasters 1080p and they are looking at 2012 before we will be able to view TV at that quality. In saying that, you can still make use of this high resolution in other forms of media. Thank you Sharp.

Rated 5/5 - Great picture
PRO's: Great picture (which is what it was bought for)
CON's: Poor connectivity (2 Scarts, only 1 with RGB, other inputs don't have switching, so have to press buttons).
OTHER: Sound OK for general viewing. Use amp & speakers for music. No audible noise, no colour banding.
